It’s finally here – Galway Fashion Week 2016! I’m thrilled to be invited to not one but two fabulous fashion events this week courtesy of Golden Egg Productions & ITWBN (Into The West Blogger Network). I’m so excited for both events & want to share my plans & what I’ll be wearing to the events!
The first event is The Irish Fashion Innovation Awards. It takes place Thursday evening (10 March) at the Radisson Blu hotel in Galway. The contest is for fashion designers & students to showcase their most innovative & creative designs. I’m so looking forward to watching the fashion come down the catwalk & to see the winners announced.
There are categories for the best millinery designer, jewellery designer, accessory designer, fashion designer & more. It sounds like a night of glitz, glam, press & fabulous fashion! I’m one of twenty lucky bloggers chosen to attend this glamorous event including a canapes reception, gift bag, awards ceremony & after party. The second event I’m attending is the Galway Fashion Trail 2016 which is taking place on Saturday 12 March. I attended the 2015 Galway Fashion Trail & thoroughly enjoyed it. The day was fast paced & fun. Different shops around Galway had fashion shows going on & we went from show to show & were spoiled all day long with lovely food & treats. I’m so honored to be one of the lucky bloggers chosen to attend this event as well! The Fashion Trail is open to the public & free to attend so if you are in Galway, stop by for a look!
Now, what am I going to wear? I’ve decided to go with my favourite colour – black. I think you can’t go wrong with black. For the Fashion Innovation Awards, I’m wearing skinny jeans with a flowy black top & jacket. The silver in the heels matches perfect with the silver detail on the jacket.

I’m getting my hair & nails done for the awards & can’t wait for the pampering. It has been forever since having my nails done – before I moved to Ireland I think so going back ten years! Tom a/k/a my intern is coming with me to the Fashion Innovation Awards. Thursday is going to be a really fun day & night!
For the fashion trail on Saturday, I want to be comfortable but also trendy. Last year I learned the hard way that wearing heels is not a good plan. So this year I have treated myself to some comfy wedges. I’m also going with black – a black t-shirt, faux leather jacket, skinny jeans & wedges.

I’m planning to wear my Mi Moneda necklace for the one of the days – yet to be determined. I received this new coin for my birthday!
