Summer 2017 Plans

Today marks the last day of school for the boys! That means summer vacation is finally here – woohoo! Our daughter finished up play school last week. She has been going two days per week & loving it. She’s looking forward to going five days per week from September.

So…what’s our summer plans you might ask… and the answer is nothing!! It’s the first summer for years that we don’t have plans – no wedding, no holidays, no camps, no trips planned at all.

In fairness, holidays came early this year. In May, we enjoyed an 8-day road trip from West Cork to Waterford.  And in June, we loved traveling along the West Coast of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way from Sligo to Donegal, which you can watch in the video below or by clicking here. I’m quite happy with how this video turned out, I hope you like it too…

So in all honesty, I’m looking forward to a chilled out, old fashioned summer like when I was a kid. I do think that after a few weeks of freedom, I’ll need to implement a summer routine for the kids because without some structure things can go bad. Our summer routine includes art, reading, playing outside, games together & much more.

Some things we enjoy doing together over summer holidays include:

  1. Creating & playing with a Minecraft Board Game

  2. For more ideas of easy things to do at home, check out my 10 Activities for a Rainy Day (which we get a lot of in Ireland).

For you blogger buddies out there, #BloggerClubUK linky will continue to run on Cuddle Fairy for the summer, all blog posts are welcome to link up & tag us on Twitter for a retweet. The #BloggerClubUK Facebook group will also continue through the summer.

I will still be active on my blog but not as much as usual so I can enjoy some quality time with the kiddies while they are at home. I’m hoping to get to the beach at least once! I’ll be sure to film our adventure & share it with you.

Stay up to date with our adventures this summer by following Cuddle Fairy on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter & Instagram.

I hope you have a wonderful summer, full of adventure! Remember that all you need is imagination to have a fun adventure with your kids. I’ll leave you with this great piece of advice from Helen Keller…

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all quote

What are your summer plans? xx
