I’m all about online shopping and am totally spoiled by it now. I have my grocery shopping delivered every week to the house. So when it comes to Christmas shopping I prefer shopping online rather than running from store to store.
This year I was delighted to get an email from Tesco offering us some toys for this Christmas. Tesco Direct has a huge selection of toys that can be ordered online & shipped right to your door. Or, if you are ordering something secretive for the kiddies, ship them to a relatives door instead. 😉
So I of courses headed over to Tesco’s website & started to shop for the kiddies. The Tesco website is so easy to navigate. You can search by the type of toy, or category like outside or construction. Or you can search for brand names like Plum or Disney. If you aren’t sure what the child you are buying for will like, you can search by age and see what’s popular in their age group.
I picked some LEGO sets & scooters for the kids. I showcased the five products over on my Instagram Story a few days ago. I have the Tesco toys saved as a highlight on my Instagram profile. Pop over to Cuddle Fairy’s Instagram to see the toys and see how easy it is to assemble the scooters. And give me a follow to stay up to date with new products we are trying out.
Let me show you what arrived & tell you a little about each toy. I know the kids are going to be SUPER excited to see these goodies under the tree this Christmas!!
LEGO Ninjago Movie
LEGO Ninjago Movie Green Ninja Mech Dragon is based on the movie. This set includes 4 mini figures of Master Wu, the Green Ninja, Charlie, and Garmadon. It also includes weapons and accessories for lots of imaginative play. The dragon is 60cm / 23 in from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail once assembled. So this will be a big and fun playset!
It’s recommended for ages 8 – 14. Our 8-year-old son will love this set. I know I will be helping him put it together just so we make sure we don’t skip any steps.
I love the quality of LEGO toys and the ease of instructions that come with them. I wish everything came with LEGO-style instructions – that’d be ideal for me!
LEGO City Jungle Explorers Jungle Mobile Lab reminds me of LEGO sets I enjoyed as a child. This set includes a lot of pieces to create a fun and imaginative play. There is a truck with opening sides and roof & a kayak for exploring. It also includes 4 mini figures, crocodile & spider figures, along with tool and camera accessories.
This set is recommended for kids aged 7 – 12. Our ten year old will be able to construct this set on his own. He’s a master of the LEGO instructions!!
LEGO Star Wars
LEGO Star Wars BB-8 is inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This is BB-8 figure is highly detailed. It features a wheel-activated rotating head and a hatch that opens. It also has a welding torch (which thankfully is non-fuctioning), plus a display stand, plaque, and small BB-8 figure.
This set is recommended for kids aged 10 – 16. Brace yourself because this set includes over 1,100 pieces. This set will be a family build I think!!
Happily, it does not require batteries for the fun and interactive features to work! My boys love Star Wars so I know they will be thrilled with this BB-8 set. And it will be something to keep us busy over the Christmas holidays.

This is our first experience with Globber Scooters. I’m super impressed by how easy they are to put together and how well made they are. There’s a bit of weight in them which is a great sign.
The Globber Flow is recommended for kids aged 6+ and will accommodate a weight of up to 100kg. I could imagine myself having a go on this scooter if I can get it away from the older kids.
This scooter is for kiddies aged 3+ and accommodates a weight of up to 50kg. This is destined for our little lady who is four years old. this will be her first scooter! I love the design with the double wheels at the front. It makes it much more sturdy!
Assembly couldn’t have been easier. You simply click the handlebars into the base & that’s it. You can watch me unbox and assemble this scooter on my Instagram profile, under “highlights” click “Tesco Toys.” The handlebars are also very easy to adjust with just a click of a button.
I’m well impressed by how well made this scooter is. I know it will bring years of scooting fun to our daughter!
