AfterShokz has gifted me their brand new bone conduction headphones to try out – AfterShokz Aeropex! If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen me unbox and try out the AfterShokz Trekz Air headphones about six months ago. Ever since then they have been my go-to headphones for everything. I find them soooo great. So I was quite curious if I’d find the newest Aeropex headphones any better!
First off let me tell you about AfterShokz headphones and how they work. AfterShokz was founded in 2011 and brought bone conduction technology to the wider market. Bone conduction headphones sit in front of your hear and carry the sound carries via bones in your skull and leaves the ear open.
This type of headphones are ideal for outdoor sports where athletes can hear the traffic around them. They are also ideal for walkers, cyclists or anyone who is out and about outside because you can hear your music while also hearing all of the sounds around you.
For me, I can hear the kids talking to me, the sound of cars and my music all at once. They are absolutely ideal for walks or runs on country road. I also find them perfect for exercise and circuits. They stay in place, are lightweight and the battery lasts for hours! I also use my AfterShokz headphones to talk on the phone.
The newest headphones in the AfterShokz family is the Aeropex. They have made a number of improvements including the following:
Better sound quality with more bass
Less sound leakage
Smaller battery with a longer battery life of 8-hour playback time!
AfterShokz Aeropex comes in four different colours:
Aeropex vs. Trekz Air
As I said I really love my Trekz Air and had no issues with them. But after trying the Aeropex I have to say, there are some really positive improvements which makes me love them a bit more than the Airs!!
The biggest improvements for me are sound quality and lower vibration.
