If you are a regular reader you know I am originally from NY. All of my family live in the US & I have been living in the beautiful West of Ireland for the past 11 years. When I first moved here it was tricky to stay in touch. We didn’t have wifi & smartphones weren’t out yet (shocking – I know!). I used to go to a computer cafe to send emails! That feels like ancient history now.
Since technology has boomed over the past 7 years staying in touch has become much easier. We have wifi in the house & smartphones which allow me to send texts & emails easily to my friends & family abroad. Honestly, I take staying in touch easily for granted now!
Staying in Touch Using Nixplay Seed Photo Frames
The next generation Nixplay photo frames allow families to stay in touch by sending photos directly to each other’s photo frames. You can have new photos displayed on your frame with ease & keep up with what family & friends are up to. I hate missing out on birthdays & occasions with family in the US so this is a new easy way for them to keep me posted through photos!

The Nixplay Seed is nothing like photo frames I’ve owned in the past. Photos are added to the frame via the Nixplay website on the laptop, phone or App. That cuts out the need for cards & makes adding new photos super easy.
Setting up the Nixplay Seed
Setting up the frame is as easy as turning it on & entering your wifi code. Then pop onto Nixplay’s website to create an account & sync the frame to your account.
There are lots of easy settings that you can choose either on Nixplay or directly on the frame using the remote. I set up my frame to turn on at 8 am & off at 11 pm. And I set it to turn off if no one is around. The frame can tell if people are there via its sensors.
To add photos to the frame I created an album on Nixplay by add photos from my iCloud account. You can sort the photos by date or alphabetically, then drag the album to a playlist. And lastly, select to place the playlist on the frame. Viola – the photos appear instantly on the frame.
The Nixplay Seed couldn’t have been easier to set up!
Final Thoughts
I am looking forward to sharing photos with my family via the frame. My Uncle will love this (he takes beautiful photographs)!
As I’m typing this post, my daughter is next to me calling out each photo as it pops up. “Mommy, I see a nice dinner! Mommy, it’s your friend & you!” The kids are so excited to see our fun adventures popping up on the photo frame.
