Welcome to my quote of the week 30! I can’t believe we have been sharing quotes for 30 weeks now – the time has absolutely flown by! I love our weekly quote sharing with Candid Cuddles Linky.
If you’ve been following my last few quotes, you know that I’ve been thinking a lot about my blog lately. About it’s direction, my blogger voice, having the time to do everything that needs to be done & so on. I’ve cut out two posts per week & a linky. I realized that I needed time to unwind in the evening. I couldn’t keep going at the rate I was going. I’ve had a bad month for views as a result. And, I have been thinking about my blog too much!
I realized that I am doing one thing & thinking about something else half the time. I don’t want to do this while I’m playing or interacting with my kids. Every day they are a little more grown up. I don’t want to miss any of the precious moments I have with them.
Spending time with someone doesn’t really count unless you are present in the moment! Fully focused on that person, what they are saying or doing & how you are feeling. As much as I love my blog & I will figure things out but not at the expense of time with my family.
The build up to Christmas is a magical time of year! Every trip to town is an adventure with beautiful decorations in the shop. We are having so much fun & enjoying the wonderment as a family. And, that’s what comes first. I feel content in that.
There’s a lot of learning as a new blogger! It’s easy to thrown yourself fully into your blog – finding that balance with life is so important. I’m getting there!! How about you? x
