Saileen Drumm is a visual artist based in beautiful County Mayo in the West of Ireland. I’m excited to tell you a bit about Saileen today & also to host a fabulous giveaway for her! The winner will receive their choice of fine art print from her website, Saileen Drumm Art.
About Saileen
Saileen has painted all of her life. She says that she can’t draw a straight line so she used to paint Celtic designs in school. Four years ago she adopted a new, vibrant & unique style of painting using bright colours & curvy lines.
Her art is eye-catching, unique & personal to Saileen & her family. All of her paintings are done from photographs taken in the West of Ireland, usually by her husband. Every piece of art is given a name by her son. Saileen’s art is truly a family affair & unique to Saileen as she only paints what is personal to her. And, each piece tells a story of the West of Ireland.
As you can see from Saileen’s paintings, photos taken of traditional West of Ireland landscapes & towns are given a modern twist with her fun & playful approach. Saileen’s work draws out the striking colours of rural Ireland, giving the viewer a taste of her heritage.
