My Quote of the Week is: The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice. As parents, our words influence our children in so many ways. Probably the biggest affect is on their self-esteem & sense of self-worth. If we encourage them and try to uplift them, that will positively shape the way they think about themselves.
As a parent, it’s hard to be positive all the time. I certainly can’t do it. I try my best to encourage my kids and to be a positive influence. There are times I get upset and yell. But, I find that the positive techniques work much better! I hope encouraging my children will help them to believe in themselves and to have positive self-esteem.
