Get excited for the fall season: tips from a fall enthusiast

If you’re already crying over summer and your super fun coastal holiday in the sun, you’ll have to excuse me, I can’t relate. For someone who doesn’t love the heat, has to apply SPF50 for even 5 minutes in the sun and doesn’t love sandy beaches, the end of the summer is a very exciting time.

And for everyone else who’s mourning the summer season, I thought I’d share my genuine excitement with you, to make you see the beauty of the fall season. Read along and get ready for a great sweater weather season!

Best outfit season

Fall is undeniably the best season for fashion, nobody can convince me otherwise. As the temperatures drop, you can finally bring out your favorite sweaters, scarves, and boots, layering up in style. The versatility of fall clothing is the best if you want to mix and match pieces and create cozy yet chic outfits for any occasion. From a cozy cable knit sweater paired with a tailored coat to a stylish pair of boots that you’ve been waiting all year to wear, fall gives you the chance to express yourself through fashion in ways that summer’s heat just doesn’t allow.

Plus, the rich, warm colors of autumn like burgundy, mustard, deep greens, and browns will add an extra layer of depth and sophistication to your wardrobe. This is the best season, a season where comfort meets style, where you can feel both warm and fashionable, and where your outfit is a reflection of the beautiful, crisp days ahead.

Rainy days and TV shows

One of the best things about fall is the cozy atmosphere that comes with it, and nothing epitomizes that more than rainy days spent indoors. When the weather outside is drizzly and cool, it’s the perfect excuse to snuggle up on the couch with a blanket, a hot drink, and your favorite TV shows or movies. The fall season often brings with it a slew of new TV premieres and movie releases, making it an ideal time to catch up on your watchlist or dive into something new.

There’s something incredibly comforting about hearing the rain patter against the windows while you’re wrapped up in a warm blanket, lost in a good story. It’s the perfect time to indulge in a little self-care, whether that means binge-watching a new series, rewatching old favorites, or finally getting around to that book-to-screen adaptation everyone’s been talking about. Rainy fall days turn your home into a haven of relaxation and entertainment, making it easier to let go of summer and embrace the slower pace of the season.

Colors, hot chocolate and Halloween

Fall is a feast for the senses, with vibrant colors, delicious flavors, and festive celebrations that make the season truly special. The changing leaves transform the landscape into a canvas of reds, oranges, and yellows, making every walk outside feel like a picturesque adventure. This explosion of color is the perfect backdrop for enjoying some of fall’s most comforting treats, like a steaming cup of hot chocolate, apple cider, or a pumpkin spice latte. The warmth of these drinks contrasts beautifully with the crisp air, creating a sensory experience that’s uniquely autumnal.

And let’s not forget about Halloween, the highlight of the fall season for many. Whether you’re into spooky decorations, creative costumes, or just the fun of carving pumpkins, Halloween brings out the playful, imaginative side of fall. It’s a time to embrace the whimsy and mystery of the season, and maybe even indulge in a little nostalgia with classic Halloween movies or childhood traditions. All in all, fall is a time to savor the beauty, warmth, and excitement that comes with the change of seasons, making it easy to see why some of us can’t wait to say goodbye to summer.
