Happy Holidays from Vision Direct

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Vision Direct.

Vision Direct, the UK’s largest online-only retailer of contact lenses, glasses and eye care, is excited to release its Christmas campaign for 2016. Produced by Bespoke Film and Communications, Gizmo Saves Christmas plays on the familiar theme of festive neighbourhood rivalry as well as the age-old dog vs. cat debate.

The advert features the  Vision Direct brand mascot, Mr Gizmo the pug, as well as a new character, Cuddles the cat. It follows last year’s extremely successful Vision Direct Christmas ad, which amassed over one million views across Facebook and YouTube.

The stylish glasses Gizmo is wearing are available over on Vision Direct. Here’s what executives at Vision Direct have to say about their new Christmas video:

“We are so excited to reveal our brand new Christmas Campaign for 2016, Gizmo Saves Christmas. For our first Christmas ad last year to be mentioned alongside the likes of John Lewis and Sainsburys was phenomenal. We knew we had to bring Gizmo back this year and make the new campaign even more fun, playful and exciting for our audience. We hope you love it as much as we do.”

– Ashley Mealor, Vision Direct’s Chief Marketing Officer

“This is our second Christmas adventure with Gizmo and this year we are delighted to be able to introduce his rival Cuddles, the cat from across the street. With the perfect foil in place the scene is set for some festive competition in a story which is ultimately about caring for others, a value close to the heart of the Vision Direct brand.” – Sam Orams, Chief Creative Officer

The video is so adorable – there’s nothing like a little Christmas decoration rivalry. I love Gizmo’s glasses too! He has excellent taste.
