I’m super excited to announce that I am off on an another adventure! This time, to Dublin for the Boots Maternity & Infant Awards 2017. To say I’m excited is a bit of an understatement. I had a total blast at last year’s award ceremony.
The awards are taking place on Friday 13th of October. Follow me on the day for updates and to enjoy the day out with me. Here are the full details…
Boots Maternity & Infant Awards
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Boots Maternity & Infant Awards. These awards celebrate excellent products and people. Categories include best nappy range, best family car & best breastfeeding product. There is only one blog category in the awards and that is best parenting blog.
These awards are based 100% on a public vote. So thank you to each and every one of you who voted Cuddle Fairy for best parenting blog. It was fierce competition this year with some truly amazing parenting blogs nominated.

The award reception begins at 11:30am on Friday 13th October in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire. If last year’s awards are anything to go by, I’m in for a big treat! The food was delicious and there were equally delicious prosecco and wine during the luncheon.
The awards are called out in between courses. There are also awards for outstanding people. I really enjoyed hearing those amazing stories.
My Plans
My plans are pretty much the same as what I did last year – because it went so well & I enjoyed it so very much. 🙂
I will be taking the Irish Rail train to Dublin then the Luas and then the Dart out to the Royal Marine. I love traveling by train. I find it much easier than driving by myself, so it’s always how I travel to Dublin.
I’ll be meeting my blogger buddy & fellow finalist, Jolene from One Yummy Mummy. I’m looking forward to a laugh and a glass of wine with my friend. We had such a fun time together last year. I foolishly left last years awards without a photo with the celebrity hosts so I will be careful not to make that same mistake this year!
Jolene & I are staying at the Radisson St. Helen’s. I had a beautiful stay there last year for the awards, you can read my full review of the hotel right here. The Radisson Blu St. Helen’s is snuggled back from the road with beautiful gardens. It has an elegant yet relaxed feel which made it the ideal place to chat and chill out after the awards last year.
As for outfits – I have no idea yet! Last year I was super organized and had an outfit sorted out weeks in advance. So you will have to wait and see on the outfit choice (ie stand by as I rummage through my closet).
