It wouldn't be summer without a new dress or two now, would it? I absolutely adore my summer dresses and I live in them every day. I just love being in dresses. I also love to have dresses for the beach and for holidays. Dress weather truly is my favorite time of year!
So it went without saying that I was super happy to receive a few dresses from the Lands' End summer collection. Lands' End has been pioneering the development of high-quality fashion for the whole family for 60 years. They combine simple elegance and practical functions with maximum comfort.
Regular readers might remember that I worked with Lands' End on a jacket review of mother-and-daughter coats. Over the years I've owned a few jackets from them and have always been very happy with them, their fit, style, and durability. That being said, I have never owned any dresses from Lands' End so I was quite excited to see what they are like!
Shopping Summer Fashion at Lands' End
Just like last time, I found the Lands' End website easy to navigate with loads to choose from. They have lots of beautiful summer clothing, beachwear, swimwear, coverups, and dresses to keep you stylish this summer.
I was sent two dresses which arrived quickly and beautifully packaged.
Summer Dresses
I received two dresses from Lands' End. The first is a pink jersey wrapover maxi dress. It has a lovely summery pattern to it. And is a jersey / modal blend. It's really lovely and draepy and soft. Thankfully it is machine washable - that's the only fabric I ever go for LOL.
I would recommend getting this jersey dress in one size down from what you typically wear. I find the fit a little generous. That being said It is suitable just as it is or I may pin to pull the waist in a little bit.
The second summer dress is navy blue and 100% linen. This dress fits perfectly to size. I LOVE that it has pockets - that is my ideal in any dress. It is comfy to wear, has a flattering fit and the linen will be breathable and comfortable in this hot weather and for holidays. It's a really classic cut to this dress, I feel a real Audrey Hepburn vibe when wearing it.
Summer Style
Here is a little fashion shoot with my two new dresses around my house. The flowers are in full bloom and we have enjoying a nice warm summer here. So what better place to model my two new dresses.
Final Thoughts
I am really pleased with both of my new dresses. I will get lots of wear out of them this summer and when we head to holidays. They are both really comfortable and fit beautifully. Do you have a favourite?
