I’m so happy to welcome Fi from Beauty Baby and Me to The Happiness Series this week! Fi blogs about motherhood & lovely things like prosecco & tea! Her blog is full of positivity & I always enjoy reading her inspiring posts. Fi answered the Happiness Series interview. Here is Beauty Baby and Me on happiness…

I’ve always been a huge fan of Becky and I look forward to her linky on Mondays, Candid Cuddles as I have always loved quotes and the positivity they can spread. When I saw the Happiness Series I knew it was right up my street so I thought I’d give it a go. I hope you enjoy it.

1. Name three things in life that make you happy. And, please tell us a little about each one.

Well, number one has to be my son Josh. It is so true what people say; you think you know love then you have your child and that love eclipses everything. I am absolutely besotted with him and every morning I am so excited to see him and see what he is going to do that day. He’s starting to get his little features and personality now and seeing that every day is wonderful.

Second has got to be my husband. He is my hero. He’s kind, calm, logical and he helps me stay sane! Don’t get me wrong he’s not Mr Perfect, he can drive me mad at times, but he is my number one supporter, he encourages me and champions me and he loves me so much. Seeing him and Josh together is so wonderful.

Thirdly I have to say my home. I love home comforts; a cosy lounge with blankets and candles, fresh flowers around the house and a clean bathroom ready for a relaxing long hot bath. I love making my home cosy and welcoming and I’m so happy curled up there with my little family.

2. What’s something you do to find your happiness when you’ve lost it?

I talk to those I’m close to. I’m quite a talker really and I wear my heart on my sleeve. Personally, I always find it helps me talking to those around me if I am struggling at all.

3. What cheers you up after a long, difficult day?

If I’ve had a tough day my husband always makes it his mission to cheer me up, he will take care of dinner and pour me a glass of wine and run me a bath. He can make me see when I’ve had a bad day that things aren’t that bad and reminds me how lucky I am.

4. Does your job make you happy? If you are a SAH parent, does that make you happy?

I am a stay at home Mum and I feel so fortunate for that! I love seeing Josh every day and also I have a chance to blog. I’ve got a few at home business ideas in the pipeline which is really exciting too so I am very happy. I was a PA before which is a job I loved as I am very organised and I like helping people.

5. Share a happy memory with us.

It has to be my wedding day. It was such an amazing day, I felt like a princess and I was so proud to finally call Sam my husband. We were surrounded by all our amazing friends and family and we had our reception in a barn at the family farm where we partied literally till the sun came up at 5am the next day! Incredible!

6. Do you think money can bring happiness?

Kind of….. it can give you security which in turn brings happiness. I admit I am quite materialistic; I like nice things for the house and I like going shopping and yes, that makes me happy.

7. Is your happiness influenced by the things you do or the way you think?

Certainly the way you think. Sometimes you can dwell on things that make you feel down, or you might over think things. Only you have the power to snap out of it, pull yourself up and be positive.

8. Which would make you the happiest – a sun holiday, new car or a new job opportunity?

A holiday every time! Holidays are when you make memories and get to see amazing parts of the world! We went to the Maldives a couple of years ago and even thinking of that holiday makes me happy it was so amazing. You get to switch off, unwind and indulge in yummy food!

9. Which wine makes you happier – red or white?

White! But especially fizzy white. My love of it has earned me the nickname Prosecco Princess!

10. Share a quote that makes you smile.

“She Believed She Could, So She Did”. I love the positivity of this quote and it reminds me that life is full of opportunities and if you want something, go for it!
