I started my blog all by myself with a lot of help from Google! I had no idea what I was doing & I made a lot of mistakes. I eventually got it up & running & realized a whole new host of mistakes. I fixed them & a few months later realized I should be sizing my images & had to go through & change every image which was torture. I’ve had several more issues pop up that made me go through & change things on every post. Starting my own blog has been a real learning process, to say the least.
I always thought it’d be great to sit down with someone who knows what they are doing & have them check to see if things look ok. And to see if I have any crazy plugins or anything organized in a way that’s totally wrong or even worse damaging to my site. I also have a list of questions I’ve generated over the year that I can’t get answered via Google or through my theme’s support page. So what is a blogger to do? I didn’t know who I could turn to or if a service like this even existed.
I met Micheal Reilly from Educated Machine at an Into The West Blogger Network talk about blogging for business. Micheal spoke about SEO, plugins, hosting, google analytics & additional techy stuff. It was obvious that he knows his business & that he’d be a great person to check over Cuddle Fairy for me.

I arranged a two-hour consultation with Micheal & arrived with my laptop & list of questions. I can’t believe how much Micheal accomplished in two hours! He was typing on my laptop, his laptop & had all sorts of screens opened on my blog that I have never seen before (code & other unrecognizable bits). It was impressive to watch.
Micheal set up a child theme for me – something I had heard of but hadn’t done because it sounded too complicated. He also went through & fixed up some niggly things I’d wanted to change but didn’t know how. It was a relief to have someone who knows WordPress have a look at my blog & give the all clear. And, to have someone fix those things that have been driving me crazy.
