It gets really hot in Vegas so why not go to Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas to cool off? Besides the pools and Kiddie Cove, the park has eight slides to enjoy. Race each other on the Desert Racers, spin around a funnel on a raft in the Tornado, take some tight turns on the Rattler, and flush down the tube in the Royal Flush.
Cowabunga Bay
Speaking of water slides, Cowabunga Bay has 10 of them. The Zuma ZOOMa drops you 73 feet in a 360-degree loop. Point Panic is a pitch-black slide with cool light features. And the Beach Blanket Banzai is a family ride for four down a 600-foot slide. They also have little kids’ slides like Squigglers and Downhill Doggers.
New York-New York Resort
Home of the best roller coaster on the strip, this hotel and resort offer a variety of fun things to do. The Big Apple Roller Coaster is the main attraction with the excitement intensified by being on the roof of the hotel, dropping 144 feet at 67 miles per hour. If that is too much, you can try VR rides in the arcade.
Museums
Madame Tussaude
You and the kids can get selfies with over 100 celebrities like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, and Nicki Minaj at Madame Tussauds. Or walk the red carpet with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Jamie Foxx, or Sandra Bullock. And who wouldn’t want a pic with some of the Avengers like Thor, Hulk, and Captain America?
Neon Museum
This eclectic outdoor museum features three acres of neon signs from old casinos. The visitor center is the lobby from the old La Concha Motel, which is a unique structure as well. You can see over 200 signs with information nearby each one. Some favorites include the Sahara, Stardust, and the skull from Treasure Island.
Discovery Children’s Museum
The kids can learn while having fun with all sorts of great interactive exhibits at the Discovery Children’s Museum. There are hundreds of artifacts the kids can see and touch as well as experiment with like the lightning ball, water world, mystery town, and eco-city. And the little tykes will love Toddler Town.
Springs Preserve
With 180 acres, this outdoor space is built around Vegas Springs, the first water source of Las Vegas. Meander through the desert botanical gardens where you can see a variety of colorful blooms year-round. The favorite for most kids is the live animal exhibit where they can see foxes, bunnies, lizards, and frogs.
Animal Fun
Lion Habitat Ranch
Speaking of animals, you will all have a blast at the Lion Habitat Ranch. You can take a special tour behind the scenes where you can see all the animals and feed Ozzie the giraffe. Or you can even hand feed a lion one pound of food! This is something you cannot do anywhere else so bring a camera.
SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium
At this aquarium, you can see and touch the wildlife and they have more than just fish! Feed the giant tortoises or caimans, hold some of the friendly birds like the Macaws and parakeets, and snorkel with the stingrays and sharks. You may even get to handle the sloths, otters, lizards, and snakes.
Shark Life Aquarium
For an even larger collection of marine life, the Shark Life Aquarium has over 2,000 creatures from piranhas to green sea turtles. And of course, they have a variety of sharks. Feed the stingrays and horseshoe crabs some fish, krill, and shrimp, or take a turn at feeding the zebra sharks with the feeding tongs.
Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
You can all get up close and personal with bottlenose dolphins, white lions, leopards, and tigers. Do a meet and greet, be a dolphin trainer for the day, or choose a VIP tour behind the scenes. You can even do yoga with the dolphins. And the secret garden holds several of the majestic creatures you can see up close.
Flamingo Wildlife Habitat
Where else would you expect to see flamingos but at the Flamingo Hotel? The flock of Chilean flamingos that call the hotel their home are really pink but much prettier than the ones in your neighbour’s yard. They also have exotic birds like the hooded merganser and whistling ducks as well as koi and catfish.
You have to eat while you are in Vegas so make sure you find the best family eateries. Dine with a mermaid at the Silverton Hotel or eat in the jungle at Rainforest Café. Shake Shack and In & Out Burger chains are always a good choice for fast food. Don’t miss the doughnuts at Pinkbox Doughnuts for dessert.
